Area Profile

The winecoast is a diverse and fascinating region with landscapes varying from the Willunga Hills backdrop and vineyard country of the Southern Vales, to a long rugged coastline with sandy beaches and spectacular headlands.

The coastline is renowned for having some of the best, fishing spots, dive sites and surf breaks within 40kms of Adelaide. These include O’Sullivans Beach, Christies Beach, Port Noarlunga jetty and reef, South Port, Onkaparinga River mouth, Moana, Maslin Beach and the Aldinga reef.

In a state regarded as the driest of the dry, water has a defining role on the Winecoast. It tempers the Mediterranean climate to provide ideal conditions for vineyards, orchards and various rural activities on the Fleurieu Peninsula, that make it quite literally, the land of milk and honey. Little wonder the area is a favourite seaside holiday destination for many South Australians.

As a resident, either part time or permanent, the region is abundant in health care, recreational and retail services and excellent educational facilities including kindergarten, primary, and secondary schooling both public and private.

New housing estate developments, established coastal strip residences, holiday homes, retirement villages, rural township and small acreage properties make up the diverse array of property styles available in the area, one to suit every individual.
